Orthopedic Acupuncture

At Primal Tao Movement, the goal is to help you live your life to the fullest- pain free and as active as you want to be. One of the main tools used to accomplish that is orthopedic acupuncture. This is an approach to acupuncture that’s focused specifically on treating musculoskeletal and related conditions. Techniques include what is sometimes called “dry needling” to treat trigger points to relieve tension in the fascia. In addition, energy balancing acupuncture is used to promote your general health.

In these cases, the first goal is to address any pain while beginning the process of fixing the underlying causes. Once the discomfort has been brought under control, the focus shifts to helping you fix any unhealthy posture or movement patterns that may have contributed to the problems. Your individualized treatment plan will often include both acupuncture needling as well as cupping. In addition you’ll learn targeted movements to help you stay stronger and healthier and prevent future injuries.
